I just came back from Les Miz and must admit that it is one of the longest movies of our time.
To be fair, I'll say that there was a lot about it that was impressive, like Lady Anne Hathaway's performance and singing (wow!) as well as Lord Jackman, who is even more impressive than I was already aware of (I missed his smash Bway show, but I can see why it was a smash). The sets/scenerey were amazing, as were the costumes, natch, and Sasha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonama Cartera were both fun, especially him. I'm in love with Amanda Seyfried. The supporting cast was amazing, especially the kids, but other than that, there's not much I can crow about. And it dragged at times — I couldn't believe that after I woke up from my nap during the lovers' scene there was still over an hour left.
